>>12101757word. too close with an uncomfortable angle
>>12101770it could be much worse since at the end of the day it's still hanging out with the lads so it's a highlight of the week no matter what, but it's certainly a big downer to know we're missing out on the potential of high quality gaming as well.
not so much boring as much as a bit rough in general. for one he has a habit of totally stonewalling us for what we're supposed to do. the first big "quest" so to speak we heard there were people disappearing from the woods, so we talked to just about every villager about it and got "lol idk talk to the loggers i guess" then when we went and talked to the loggers they said "yeah there's no pattern to it or anything people just go missing sometimes" so we dedicated a whole ingame workday to running around the logging site trying to catch someone going missing close to when it happened only for nobody to disappear. it got so bad that we ended up basically sweeping the forest until we found something, and even that was a huge process that took hours of real time to do because we had to roll at every little step to maybe be able to garner a slight bit of information
this leads into the second problem which is that he doesn't really seem to care about player engagement, so he'll do stuff that encourages us to split up and leave only 2-3 people to play the game for several hours. with the forest thing for example we only ended up finding anything because 1 guy disappeared on his sweep, and we weren't able to find him again for literally 3+ hours in real life. then when we did find him he was mind controlled so he spent another hour or two not actually in control of his character at all.
that also sort of feeds into the third problem that some stuff is just blatantly unfair in difficulty. it's harder to give a concise example of this, but the short version is that while we're grasping at straws to find information we're in danger of getting one shot by something random
