>>15309917Well you mutt I'm gonna tell you how it was according to my family which lived in occupied lands of Lublin,Kielce,Wołyń and Stanisławów. First of all according to my great grandmother (RIP) Soviets were so retarded they weren't able to provide electricity to Stanisławów which Poland was able to do and later Germans were able to do in 1941. She also said Soviets would buy up the cutlery and various tablecloths and nightgowns (which their women would use as elegant dresses). Later when Germans came things didn't get much better though considering they'd use Ukrainian Militias to kill my great grandfather for belonging to a rifleman's association (Despite him being 1/4th German lmao). As for other situations in Wołyń my great grandmother told my grandma two stories. One in which german soldier gave local kids berries from the helmet and another one where a german called her mother a insufferable Pole at a train station. From my Lublin side Germans burn their farm down completely and killed my great grandfather's father and one of his brothers they survived only because they've hidden in a hay stack. Both my Lublin and Kielce family would later fight well for the Resistance and my Wołyń and Stanisławów family had to flee West even before Barbarossa ended.
(Have a map of Poland so you'll get the rough area of where I am talking about as Americans don't know Geography of this region despite always talking about it lmao.)
