He set the wattage around 2 watts, 20 volts, and swept the potentiometer from .2 to 10k to see any changes in color. He said a random combination sorta worked a few times, but the electrodes come into play at a certain point when they react and "sputter" into the mix. I probably drank stainless steel too. Whatever tbe body needs some iron and nickel to accompany the dark silver colored elixer.
