Male and Female is not just a biological thing. It is part of Duality. Look at the Hermetic Principle of Polarity.
Just as our parents are Male and Female, so does our personalities and the soul. We all have the Masculine and Feminine aspects within ourselves. This is gives reason to why Tomboys exist. The feminine womb is literally a container (unchanging) while the masculine semen is literally water (changing). We call a battleship a "she" because its a container for the "men" at sea.
