I guess I work a “blue collar” job. I diagnose/install and repair CNC machines and manufacturing anamatronics (like FANUC robots). I pull in at least 78,000 a year at age 25. I also travel every week between 4 states, company pays for everything so I practically live for free. I don’t own a home, I don’t see the point of owning something I would only spend 1 1/2 days in for the week.
I haven’t had issues with white collar graduates, they seem to respect me. Even engineers that I work with come to me with questions.
White collar or blue collar, it doesn’t matter. Do what has to be done.
