On the complete opposite of the spectrum, I really like noir fiction films. The way it pushed the boundaries of what was considered acceptable at the time and dark themes really suck me in. Films like the Maltest Falcon, The Third Man, Double Indemnity, and The Big Sleep are absolute classics that I recommend anyone watch if they're into it.
