it is a sequel to japanese only VN Chaos;Head
there are fan made localisations of C;H but I was too dense to figure out how to plug it in
the anime of C;H is just a horrible shitshow that I couldn't handle to watch more than three episodes sober
however, whilst high it has b movie tier aspect to it that it's so bad in a sebse it's fantastic I laughed my ass off
would never watch it sober though
the plot of C;H isn't- like- super important to plot of C;C... but like, though theres a lot of divergence in mechanics of delusions and D-swords, it's still kinda important to catch up (my advice is just take the middle ground and read up on wikis the plot of C;H before starting C;C, though if you can and want to by all means plug in the fan localisations for C;H and read that)
now as for C;C... I first watched the anime and liked it to some extend, it's bitterweet in it's nature, it lack in compartment if pacing due to low amount of episodes
after reading halfway through the VN did I realise how many great scenes didn't make the cut (anime has only one piss scene, serika's is completely cut),
