>>18924918>REAL CHRISTIANITY HAS NEVER BEEN TRIED goalpostingIt's not a "bad impression", it's historical. You haven't even read my posts.
I'm trying to explain how we have gone on a millenia long trajectory of desacralization and nihilism, which is a direct result of abolishing the old gods and the traditional mode of worship and the divine view of nature. You have an opinion that you're right no matter what which has mutilated your ability to engage with the arguments
Those old gods also happen to be mentioned in the biblical texts but as something evil. So they do exist then, well many nations have their identities and origin myths tied up in those "demons", such as Japan, but also Rome and pre Christian England itself. The institutions we had were Pagan, then depaganized, now lost all spiritual authority, lost the original pagan mode of worship (thaumaturgy and channeling).
Did you know Cromwell tried to ban Christmas as "Pagan"? A lot of the folk myths survived by syncretizing, and the stuff you decry was syncretized from old world practices, such as localized Sainthood across Europe. This also occurred in Islam and was eventually stamped out by authoritarian measures.
As did the institutions, like monarchy, we have one Islamic degenerate in this thread saying there are no men are worshipped when in fact this was the ancient mode of worship. The mode of religion in the ancient world is completely inverted to what we have today, which is passive and externalized. In the past the high priest (pontifex maximus) was deified.
