>>19821981Valari is on high alert as she enters the Royal Archives alongside the Queen. Her Majesty's safety is paramount, and second only to that is the security of the Kingdom. This is the moment for which she has been readied. She will defend her Queen and Kingdom bravely and with honor. Even the sight of Elyssa Laurentine, who has not been any more pleasant to Valari in recent days, is scarcely of concern.
Then she sees the intruder, and she momentarily sucks in a breath.
This small woman is gorgeous.
Nicole Kade's green eyes capture the light like jewels. Her orange hair is even more lustrous and vibrant than Valari's own dark red mop, which had been praised by her people, and her late husband particularly as a sign of her beauty, and right now those orange tresses are not put up in the silly tails that she wears for the wrestling camera, but instead flows around her body like a silken cloak. Her face, impish and impudent, a light dusting of freckles over pale skin, and full lips parted lightly in concern and surprise, is entirely different in person than it appears on her television. And her *figure* is.....
NO.
Is Valari REALLY so inclined towards this foolishness, with her husband barely three seasons gone, and the safety of her Queen and security of her Kingdom now paramount? It's shameful. She chides herself and ignores the heat rising in her cheeks, watching this woman, Nicole Kade, closely, as the Queen demands answers of Elyssa Laurentine. Not that watching her is a hard task. There is something about her, a beauty that seems to shimmer and shift.....
No, that shimmering and shifting is a second spirit.
The body of Nicole Kade is inhabited by two spirits, like a person who has been possessed. It is subtle; the second spirit appears almost exactly the same, and it does not appear to be controlling her, merely passively riding within her. Valari might not have seen it, had she not been staring so..... intently at Nicole in the first place.
