>>12270408>Faith without works is dead. If you have no works you have the same intellectual belief in Jesus that the demons have. "even the demons believe, and tremble". Aka, you have a dead faith, the kind of faith that doesn't save you.See, believing that there is one God is not what saves you. The pope believes that, and here we see even that the demons believe that.
Saving Faith is the one that makes you believe that Jesus paid for your sins in dying and rising again. You need to believe the record that God gave of His Son. If you believe that, that's it, really.
Even in Romans 4, it is written that if you do NO WORKS, but you BELIEVE, (meaning that:
a. You can believe and do zero works and,
b. That faith saves you)
you are saved by that Faith.
"4 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."
