>>19821530Elyssa and Nikki finally reach the door of the Royal Archives. Elyssa is keeping her smile still casual and normal, though she finds herself hoping, for Nikki's sake, that she truly is a good friend of the Queen and this will all be a silly misunderstanding. If not, perhaps she can ask her father to put a finger lightly on the scales of justice, so that Nikki is not punished too harshly? Especially since her sister's nightclub seemingly does a fair amount of business with his company.
>"There's a two-factor access process. First I must key in the access code, then unlock both the locks, in order to open the door."That much is actually true. But the code she keys in on the security box, 3193, is also a code meaning "There is an intruder at this location who is of personal interest to the Queen." It will open the electronic lock on the door, but it will also send a message to notify the castle's head of security at once. The Queen herself will likely be notified within seconds after that. With that done, Elyssa retrieves the two massive keys, and turns them in the locks, one after the other. The door to the Royal Archives opens.
>"I have no idea what I'm looking for, but I do know my way around the Archives, at least. I'll try to help you if I can."And, of course, searching the Royal Archives will enable her to stay close to Nikki so she is present when the security task force, possibly with the Queen herself at their head, arrives. Things should get..... eventful when that happens.
