>>1608159That reminded me of a shit job I had one summer.
>basic maintenance tasks around the campside>I finish the job in half the time it takes other people>just chilling and minding my own business when my boss comes>asks me why I'm working>explain I've already did all I was supposed to do>get yelled at and got told to "find more work">ask literally everyone else working here, there's nothing more to do this day>a few days later>I'm working intentionally slow and taking a lot of breaks>finishing my routine tasks 3 hours later>boss comes>"see, there's always something to do">mfw there are people who deal with this stuff every day>>1608160Actually I'm a software engineer and I just ragequit over stupid shit in my company. Feels great to be able to walk out at any time and find new employment in a matter of a few weeks if not days. On top of that I can just stop working until at least the end of the year due to my savings.
And I'm not even that good, I don't live and breathe code, I just clock in my 8 hours and afterwards I play vidya or meet with my gf.
