From what I've heard, many Germans still call it Laibach although apparently some would rather break their tongue with the official name. I have heard a few very "sophisticated" ladies pronouncing it with the Js (and Slovene teachers/professors, obviously) but there's really no reason for it.
I guess it's some kind of publicity - the city with an unpronouncable name.
