Well, I still had my immature high school mentality so I retorted "at least I'm not a dwarf." Mind you, I'm only 5'9" myself. Anyway, I look around to scan for laughter, and saw the really tall Dutch backpacker girl eyeing me and smiling. She was like at least 6'2". She kept glancing at me for the rest of the day. I think she was a bit insecure about her tall height and the fact that I made fun of a short girl probably made her feel special in a way. Plus I was a handsome kid. I pretty much could have asked her out in hindsight, but I was an awkward sperg virgin who was scared of women at that age because I went to an all boys high school therefore never hung out with girls during the important formative teenage years, losing my social skills with the ladies. Oh and one of my parents was Mediterranean (the other one from the British isles) so I have half a med and half anglo-celtic look)
