You're right it is normal to stigmatize and ban homosexuality, because it is NATURAL to stigmatize it.
Enforcement of political values that normalizes homosexuality isn't going to change the fact that it is outside the normal limits of human condition based on the underlying biological principle (whether genetically determined or as an outcome of genetic + environmental factors).
I don't need to prove this with data, because this is a logical conclusion based on what is already known about homosexuality and how humans have dealt with it in recorded human history.
