Art can get you some money but it's not it's main purpose at all.
Anyone who pursues artistic path be it music, theatre or aesthetics is in it for personal growth, developing discipline, aesthetics and entering new heights as a human capable of creation.
Those of low empathy of morality would tear you down as you do not wallow in filth and lousy morals as they do, they despise you because they can see what they could be yet still refuse to put in the effort to change themselves.
They are truly pitiable.
