What you need is common sense social prescriptions (such as those found in Western religions) that constrain people's actions more or less voluntarily to keep a society on it's rails. The problem with America is that we were lured by prosperity to abandon the hardships required of our faith. If the founding father had made the first amendment "No one of the Jewish faith may transact in or become a citizen of these United States", we'd be just fucking fine.
