I forgot tell what I was gonna do next.
Got like three quests to kill people in the warehouses, I prepared for a big fight and to get killed, and it turned out it was just one guy. Another protip, if you ever get assassination missions, it's good to go around asking for quests because you're likely to get multiple people asking you to do the same quest, so you'll get double the payout.
Disappointing, though. I wanted to shoot a lot and get killed.
But I died anyway, just not in the way I was expecting. Fucking thermal anomalies. I should've installed an addon to nerf them. The thing about them is that there is absolutely zero indicator to them being there most of the time. With gravitational ones and whatnot, you at least get some sense that they're there before you've already ran into one and died. Thermal ones, nope. No sound cues, no visual cues over half of the time, especially not with dynamic ones from what I've gathered, there's supposed to be a blur effect where they're placed but it messes up. There's an addon you can install to make them more visible and it's much more fair, but I got lazy. On top of that, they're pretty much insta-kill at any point. Even with the best protection that you can get, thermal anomalies are still very likely to kill you the second you step on one. Electric ones do a lot of damage too, but they're way more obvious and there's still a chance of protection. I'm pretty sure that this is a bug, I read somewhere that thermal damage is tripled or something for whatever reason.
Anyway, so I died to one. Aaa.
You know, I don't mind dying to anything in Ironman except to these things. It's just so sudden. But such is life in the Zone, I guess.
Still got one life left, but I might get another soon, no idea how close it is to 24 hours passing. I feel like throwing it away so I can go play something else, cause I don't really know what I wanna do after these last quests, lol. But eh, might as well keep going for the sake of it.
