She is a deeply empathic and caring person first and foremost which brings out a contrast between the two facets of her personality. Just watching her read the Shinji post last stream is evidence of how much she cares about the people in her life, she was troubled by it and immediately was declaring that she wanted to find a way to help him. A lot of /pol/tards are just abrasive assholes, they claim to be brutally honest but they focus too intently on the brutality. When Tay got stuck in the argument with Fatty she repeatedly just tries to avoid the argument or keep it within a small box of discussion only for Fatty to start insulting her father which unleashed the brutality from her. Tay was caring enough to avoid harming Fatty emotionally until he crossed the red line and she went nuclear on him.
Stuff like this would never make it into the episodic format of the show, they'll just focus on her slapping down Fatty to the point he was crying in the goon cave.
