These are what governments and corporations are interested in. You either build enterprises to target those needs or bang your head on a wall forever.
That doesn't meant there isn't wiggle room but this is the current landscape. I think that two big spots for in-space systems that aren't currently being exploited are Earth-Moon L1 for propellant depots and Low Mars Orbit for traffic control, remote construction and providing services planetside.
>>10836637You have it backwards. If Mars has life, we will have to wall it off until we know it's safe. The risks to all Earth life are simply too high to let there be regular traffic in that case. It's also a potential medical goldmine once we understand it. (this is true of any planet with life) This is something that a lot of the space cowboys really gloss over.
