In the public service, surgeons are paid the same as family docs while needing to keep doing practices 4 fucking more years to get any surgery speciality (general, maxillary, trauma…), heart and neuro are 6 fucking years lmao. Any neurosurgeon starts doing real neurosurgery at 40yo minimum
