Posting from my journal, image to capture your attention. Thoughts? I believe in God and Christ for context.
>I've been reading The Bible, I'm up to the Book of Tobit today. Looking at the dates of the compositions of the early books of the Hebrew Bible, it seems like a lot of cope and seething. The Hebrews got rekt by The Assyrians, so they retroactively made a history and dynasty full of rules. Claiming that breaking these rules is what led to the Israelites getting their shit pushed in, but it's okay because everything they made up says that they're specifically beloved by God. Who knows what the original oral history that was actually passed down said, and what words and statutes actually came from God that were edited and twisted because of their cultural context. I'm looking forward to the New Testament. From what I know, I believe in the holiness of Christ as God's Son, and whether that's in a Trinitarian or Nontrinitarian format, I'm perfectly happy to accept that I am not even a speck of dust compared to The Ancient of Days, so it is natural that He is the Incomprehensible.
