The reflective mirror 'proof' moonlets like to bring up is a complete joke, both American and Soviet physicists could reflect a laser beam off the moon years before the Apollo hoax took place, you don't even need a contraption like in the OP, any one of the lunar rovers sent there could do it. Once scrutinized the whole Apollo program falls apart.
