Cancer mortality has declined dramatically in the last 30 years. These statistics don't even account for the immunotherapy revolution which gained widespread use starting in 2018 and has become one of the safest and most effective options for treating cancer that we have. It's an extremely low IQ thought process to suggest that the only possible return on investment to tax funding to cancer is a "cure".
