well as far as keeping my own around it's for the usual reason of not wanting to concern my mother with her aversion to drinking and all.
for drinking my dad's stuff i just hate "borrowing" in general. if he wanted to just give it all to me that'd be one thing, but shy of that i'm not particularly interested in drinking any of it
