I'm on a knife-edge, grade-wise, because I'm an old(er) student whose disillusioned about the actual value of a degree in my field (comp sci.). Not that that's an excuse for what is essentially self-sabotage. Mostly it's that my college seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the quality of their professors, and every day of classes is incredibly tedious and seems like a waste of my time.
I'm not in risk of failing out, but acceptance into my degree program depended heavily on this course, I think. If I don't get decent grades they're going to string me along for another semester just to improve grades on classes that will have no functional impact on my ability to do my job.
These things are mostly my own fault, admittedly.
