>>23003561>Also, once your body enters ketosis, it will also start breaking down muscle for ketogenic amino acids, ketosis cannot happen without aminos, it's not just fat that is magically turned to ketones in the liver. (Theyre called ketogenic cause different aminos are used for ketone production vs glucose production via gluconeogenesis)well you are supposed to eat protein on a keto diet, so i think it might still be viable, or atleast not made nonviable for these reasons
but yeah, everything else makes sense
i didn't know the details of gluconeogenesis, it's interesting lactate is one of the things it can use
>In the study the participants lost 2.3kg of fat on average and 3.5kg of lean tissue on average after 10 days of fasting, although only 42% of that lean tissue was actual muscle mass, the rest was stored glycoge n/water so it doesn't really count. But that's still 3lbs of muscle gone. Which can take months to build normally, or weeks to rebuild.i see
i didn't even see the link honestly lol, my bad
i dunno about 3 hours of exercise and a "supplement" of 300 calories though, lol
i was also under the impression that the brain runs BETTER on ketones, not that it can only run on glucose, but the source is my ass so idk
