well it's because spotify opened up in korea recently isn't it? before it wasn't available there and melon still isn't available outside of korea so it didn't matter, but now that spotify is a direct competitor it just makes sense for kakao to pull everything they distribute off of spotify so that korean fans have incentive to use melon
