i still felt like playing after leaving that server cause i wanted to experience it with a lower ping, but heres the second thing that makes me angry
people still put bots in their servers for some reason in 2023
its a thing you did back in 2013 to trick little kids who played on your server into thinking theyre playing against real people. i dont think theres any other purpose for it, because nobody actually likes playing with the retarded bots. theyre not even valve bots, theyre made by whoever made the plugin so theyre really shitty and try to shoot through walls and cant do anything. its funny how they go so far to make them authentic like giving them fake player names with profile pictures and everything, but then u see them failing to walk around a corner
in literally every other game this shit is long gone. it used to be a very big thing in tf2 and now it isnt
and for some reason its still here in css
every single server i joined that showed players were just bots instead. not a single normal one, i felt like i was back in 2013 tf2
oh and thats the thing too, instead of displaying them as bots they display them as real players, both in-game and in the server browser. so u cant even say theyre trying to fill in the gaps for players, no, they really are trying to trick people into thinking theyre playing with actual people.
this was just a thing in the past because there used to be a lot of ads in source servers that the owners made money off, so they had to get little kids to play on their server by pretending theres people on them
i doubt that 12 year olds play cs:s anymore so really whats the point ur not gonna trick anybody, the second i realize im playing with bots im just gonna leave
