yet, it only really works as, again, an antisemitic comedy
from the panic movement (topor wrote the book that is the script of the tenant), together with arrabal, only one made a great movie (and great comics scenarii): Jodorowsky, with Santa Sangre (1989)
as to the absolute state of movies, yeah...
the most recent great movie I've seen is The Captain, and dates from 2017...
