>>9183126/bant/'s earliest ages were fraught with chaos as it sought to forge an identity for itself. There were of course many forced memes that are left long dead and buried, or only referenced as in-jokes, but a major part of early 2017-era /bant/ that was lost almost in its entirety was the game-hosting culture. During that year, you would have games including /bant/ RPG, RISK, The Hunger Games Sim, and of particular regard, Boss Raids, a web-script based game that would input the board's identity system to give randomized stats to users in a fight against a boss statted up by OP. /bant/ would work together on .io games, most notably PixelCanvas. I miss these games dearly, but most of them would be unfeasible in /bant/'s current environment, due to a lack of participating users.
As a personal opinion, there is an undeniable decline in quality from the prime years of 2018. Threads move slower and contain less content, and we have lost two hours of board speed over the course of the jump. Though grand threads have still come fourth this year and September-October tends to be the point in time when /bant/ is most active, gone are the days where we could expect a newspaper each month or organize fifty people to play a single game. Depending on who you ask, either June 2017 or October 2018 were the board's golden age, or perhaps gold and silver ages.
