It's only because we now have the internet and we're suddenly presented with the opportunity to consume vast amounts of information, that we are now demanding that reality give us the same degree of acceleration that technology has given us.
I'd love to hear Uncle Ted's take on this. Instant communication has turned us into happening addicts to the extent that an entire meme has come into existence to herald that dysfunction.
