It's easily attainable if you have basic fishing abilities and much cheaper than buying fish. If you can't do that, there's dip-netting for mackrel, which work either as a bait fish or meal on their own. Just eat them fast as they go rancid rapidly, even when refrigerated, unless smoked or dried.
