In less than a few hours, Ash Romero was to wrestle in a meandering final round that would do nothing to change her placement.
Second from the bottom. The second weakest performer.
Everyone was going to lose. It's the nature of tournaments. But the veteran didn't anticipate such a genuinely miserable run. She made mental notes of the strands of hope she could cling to. She was the tournament "ironwoman", by a few minutes too. She wrestled great matches, real barnburners and showstealers. She got exactly what she wanted. She got to wrestle and fight strong opponents.

Ash Romero's B1 2023 run was an undeniable failure.

[Clack.]
[Creak.]
Footsteps approached, rounding the corner. Ash sighed.
>Not right now. Can't you give me a fuckin' minute?
Her head turned to look before her eyes grew wide. She curled her lips and chuckled.
>My bad.
>... I thought you hated wrestling.
