>>18802993I get it. My life has been nothing but one abuse after another, too. But I don't believe there's a limit to how much suffering you can overcome. The Stoics describe your soul as a divine flame. The more adversity it consumes, the brighter and hotter it burns, ever ready for more challenges. I think cultivating that flame is the reason you and I are here, and I'm not going to miss out on any opportunities to grow it if I can help it. Everything we go through that causes us suffering can be turned towards good purpose, as long as we adopt the right attitude towards it.
