I get you though, there's barely anything that one can do in this world that's inherently good or bad. Morality is extremely subjective, but personally I feel like there isn't a truly evil or good person: what matters is how you change over time and deal with your past actions.
If you've done terrible stuff in the past, it's not too late to make up for it.
I don't think anyone wants to be evil, but as you said it's a culmination of one's actions that makes you as a person. Everything you do will be looked down upon by someone, no matter what. Donate to the red cross? Someone will point out one of their mistakes from 50-60 years ago and whine about it.
