>>12046162that's not the case. different people's brains work in different ways no? if i on focus on a single task for an extended period it quickly reaches a point where more of my attention is dedicated to trying not to get distracted than actually accomplishing the task.
for example if i sat down and seriously tried to bang out CS homework with nothing else going on it'd take me like 2 hours and i'd be way too miserable to do anything else after. alternatively i could watch something at the same time and take like 3 hours but have much higher morale, thus making it easier to get more hours of lower efficiency productivity in.
another option that i use most now is to focus intently on a task for like 30 minutes then fuck off until i feel like getting back to it which usually ends up leading in me finishing in half the active time in more than twice the period
