>>21409082this is literally the first topic i came across when researching flat earth
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7ZpvLu_tFE&feature=youtu.beto summarize,
we can't know 100% for sure because we are not the ones orchestrating the lie. we can deduce a few reasons for the deception though
1. NASAs budget is 70 million dollars a day. the tax money is flowing nonstop and that's just NASA. governments around the world use their space agencies to globally siphon trillions of dollars from us, the actual workers who produce the labor. in return, we get poorly made computer generated images and doctored videos
2. in a world where the most precious resource is land, the only thing that money cant buy, lying to us about the shape of the earth could allow for them to hide things from us. they could hide continents from us. there could be places you just aren't allowed to go. there is a box around you that says you can't go too far beyond the 60th south latitude (antartic treaty) or up beyond the 55th north latitude (NWS system). these are the red lines in pic related that the governments of the world conspire against us to not let us travel beyond. its way more interesting on a flat earth map here:
>>214090583. when you can lie to someone about the shape of the earth and tell them that they're spinning on a ball in a random corner of a random cluster of a random galaxy, evolved randomly from monkeys it removes the existence of a Creator for our intelligently designed system. it makes you agnostic/nihilistic when you think "this tiny meaningless blue dot is all that exists and everything else is too far away to ever discover". this demoralization trauma they put on you since youth sets you up for further deceptions as you become increasingly convinced that this one meaningless existence is all that we have and there is no divine plan in place for us after we die
