It has been more than two months since Valari accepted a place in the service of The Queen, and since that time, other than the horrific encounter with the sorceress who summoned blue fire, there had been little danger or turmoil. The Kingdom was in a period of peace, and there were not very many things for her to do. From time to time, she was called upon, as in her capacity serving The Queen, to question the spirits of the dead from time to time, or work minor magic. Studying with Gemma Stone, when Gemma was available, had given Valari a greater grasp on her own magical knowledge, though she had no innate magical power of her own - she still relied on spirits to lend her their mystical strength.
And she trained.
Valari had been training hard with the soldiers of the Kingdom, in a class of mostly young students led by one Sir Paul Borracho, specializing in strength, physical conditioning, and hand-to-hand combat skills and grappling. The thought of serving The Queen in the wrestling ring of the WWA still lingered on her mind. And with this grueling regimen, and hearty meals served from the Castle's kitchen multiple times daily, Valari regained the strength and size she had lost during the early months of the cold winter and then some. Her body was strong, rippling with muscle, ready to snap forward like a drawn bowstring at the command of her Queen.
Valari was healthy and comfortable here, but she could not escape the feeling that there was a greater purpose which she would one day soon be called to serve. She ruminated on after a hard day's physical training evaluation, tired and sweating, as Trainer Borracho made his rounds and evaluated the students.
