>>18699183Colby Jefferson smiles over the lip of a cup of coffee when Amy slides the plate to her.
>"'If I don't want to eat it!?' Amelia! It looks absolutely delicious, it's fresh and right in front of me with steam still rising off the plate, and I'm starving. But even if none of those things were true, you don't malign the work of the lady of the house like that."Colby chuckles.
>"Now I'm imagining the storm that would've been called down if one of us'd said to my Mom that we didn't want to eat what she'd cooked and asked to go out for breakfast instead."Thinking of her family, she wonders how Carmody is doing. Hopefully she's not still thinking of wrestling, though Colby'd been sort of aware she planned on accompanying Sola Fire to the ring. Maybe she could be a cheerleader (manager) instead of a wrestler, that wouldn't be so bad.
She moves to the dining room with her plate and takes a sip of her coffee as she sits down, then looks into Amy's golden eyes, struck by the expression of almost reverence in them. Neither had been sleeping well before last night, and they'd made it a habit of talking about the restlessness and odd night fits they'd observed in each other the night before, over a morning's coffee or tea.
>"So...... Did I sleep all right last night? I can't tell you much about your own sleep: I think I must've been out like a stone most of the night. I was more tired than I knew."She pinches a bit of egg between bacon and toast and shoves it into her mouth, then makes a satisfied "mmmph" sound.
>"More hungry than I knew too. You were being too modest, this is actually really good."
