>>19621864Haruka nods toward Cassie. “Tanaka-Sama wants to know about your Obsidian Rush. You have refused to share your formula with him, therefore we’ll require a higher cut of the profits.”
“Rush is a new drug developed within my organisation. I don’t need to pitch its value to you, your superior knows my sales. That’s why I was given the opportunity to operate on The Six’s turf, for a fair price. And that price, well…” Cassie lowers her head, and allows a pained tone to enter a voice. “I’m willing to pay up 40% if that’s what it takes, provided my operations are under The Six’s protection.”
It’s a generous offer. More generous than Cassie would usually offer. But ff she could rely on The Six’s protection, she wouldn’t need to move many of her men to Japan, only just enough to handle distribution of Rush. And she had no doubt that this phase of her operation with The Six would be temporary.
Haruka translates to Satoshi, and he shakes his head. “50%を与える.”
“Tanaka-Sama wants half,” says Haruka.
Of course he does. Cassie bites a lip and sighs heavily, then she shakes her head. Despite her pride, it would be best if this man felt he won this negotiation, and handsomely so.
She injects the pained tone back into her voice as she responds. “Would Tanaka-Sama be so kind as to accept 45%?” As Haruka translates, Cassie smiles at Satoshi, keeping her head slightly lowered.
Satoshi chuckles, then downs another glass of Sake. “45%はアイルランドの売春婦から?それを受け入れます. 彼女のビジネスの半分近くは私のものです。彼女は簡単だよ。”
Haruka smiles at Cassie. “We accept.”
As Haruka speaks, Satoshi reaches across the table, and shakes Cassie’s hand. “Preasure do business witha you!” He says jubilantly. Cassie nods forlornly, then gets to her feet.
