>>18565745That schizo theory sounds wild, its weird how fiction gets weaved into things. Predictive programming is one such odd thing.
I was curious since I did watch LOTR with a friend but honestly it was such a long marathon that I got a little overwhelmed and didnt retain much. I've been thinking about a rewatch.
I really should knuckle down and read, though.
>>18566428>Evolution and the big bang isn't heretical. Say you're a master at pool, and you know exactly where the other balls are going to go when you hit them with the cue. Could God be the same way? Operating the universe using the most simple 'cues' but spinning it so that it knocks everything the way you want it.Oh no I get that, I think whats considered heretical is the idea that whatever came before was Eden, and this current universe is the one tainted by being introduced to sin. It brings to mind kalpas which are a hindu/buddhist concept, and I can see why it wouldnt sit well with christianity. It doesn't quite jive with how things are traditionally interpreted, and if it has commonalities with gnosticism then yeah, it's not going to be well liked.
>eden being a different planet holds water.Because of the idea that Mars was habitable at one point and a theory that micro-organisms from Mars germinated Earth, right?
