>>22194988there has been an epidemic of thread-splitting and it is movie night, so i imagine that has something to do with it. it is worth considering too that things go in cycles. one month ago to the day almost was the inauguration of donald trump, and we went through 3 threads in as many hours. hopes were high and many expected to get rich quickly. since then the s&p is flat, and we just experienced the biggest red candle in about 6 months. i agree things are deader than they've been since probably thanksgiving day, but again, cycles, enthusiasm, market performance, and likely astrology all have something to do with it. inter-thread drama and politics may have also contributed. for some reason i became a lightning rod of criticism, and last night's and previous moggings must have come as a heavy shock to many posters, causing a tailspin of depression, and finally my anime girl output is worryingly low, discouraging my fans and depriving the thread of an important retention mechanism. i am optimistic that a turnaround is very near on the horizon, but things could get much worse, you never know, you'll just have to stay a diligent /smg/ reader to find out what actually happens.
