>>18546123>>18546132>>18546145 I believe that Goetic Baal reflects his appearance as "El's successor as king of the gods" and not "El's young warrior nephew", hence the Goetic Baal is shown as an old man and has El in his name baEL, "Lord God" . I even think that its shape/heads as frog/cat is because in Canaanite Mythology it defeats the sea god Yam and god of the underworld Mot, the frog is an amphibian (aquatic animal) and the cat is associated with night/bad luck like the underworld. But it's more likely that he has it because of the witches' familiars.
