Why did things get crazy in season one when the people got liquored up, when in season two they usually went off somewhere and sulked or passed out?
I'd say that it was the poor food, poor sleep, and poor layout of the house that made season two relatively dull.
S1 had one place where people prepared food, served drinks and chatted. S2's kitchen was a dead zone for activity, while the lounge was too large for all the cast to both eat and converse. Having a separate bar didn't provide much benefit over the simple kitchen island in S1.
