Can you imagine if you didn't invade France and instead let the Nazis take it, AND THEN nuke them to get them to surrender (because let's be honest even under nazi occupation they're still French there's no stopping them from surrendering). There could be a huge French anime industry now. They had a bit of a propensity for anime after WW2, but it would have taken a few nukes to really get it going.
