>>5967712Eh, only first X0 of those threads were good, now it's just a chatbox. They were good not because of the people or whatever, but because they had a story, a mystery. The guy created a mysterious image of Happy Day Yuuka as someone looking and behaving all nice, but having her secrets. Weird stuff happened, she seemed truly like someone either mad or really, really evil. And everything interspersed with innocent-looking threads about being kind to anons, talking with them. He succesfuly created an enigmatic atmosphere, one could only wonder what will happen next. What was in the briefcase? We'll never know (or maybe we do and it's just me who doesn't). Yes, it was bland, yes it wasn't ground-breaking. But it was one of the most interesting things that happened on this board, it kept us in suspense, we could await the next "episode". Well though, the series has ended eventually and what remained is this sad relic of a daily thread with no real purpose. It's just bunch of people saying nice stuff to each other, talking. A normal chat. The number in the title does not make it better in any way.
You know, I haven't ever been a big fan of that thread series, I wasn't really following it that much, but I still was interested in it. It was somewhat exciting when some weird shit happened and Yuuka got out of her Yuuka suit or whatever it was, some generic bullshit. But generic bullshit made just for us. To have someone prepare all those images just for our entertainment was what made the thing great. However, all things, both wonderful and terrible, must come to an end.
Why did I even write this thing, you ask? I have no idea, I just got carried away, browsing through my memories and happened to pour them out on the screen. Treat this post as some noncommittal thoughts about what made Happy Day threads Happy Day threads. Or something.
