It is just that the "flagship" brands are extremely expensive compared to mass produced dolls.
And those brands are what is widely known in the west. Therefore we thing that those dolls are extremely expensive, when they are in fact not.
We in the EU even have at least two full doll brothels, and some normal brothels that have dolls available, and those are making more money than the normal brothels.
A WM-Doll that has really good quality for its price can be bought for around 1200$. That is 12-18 uses by a customer to go even on its material cost. Every use past that is profit.
With good care they do last far longer than that. You can even repair them and cover the marks with makeup.
