>>22398236>ambiguousYes, idiomatic expressions can be vague, but I've made the case for incest, whether she was his mother or stepmother. And yeah, that's disgusting either way, but if you really want to read sodomy (or castration) into the passage, then you have to argue for it based on the language and context of the passages. Besides, shouldn't having a stern law against an immoral act be a good thing? Tribal Germans drowned openly gay men in bogs, but that's not an indicator that they were all rampant homosexuals.
>some disgusting Jewish act Jews like to commonly performAykshually, neither Jews nor Hebrews existed in Noah's time. You haven't read The Bible, which is fine I guess, but you seem to have a misconception that the Bible exists to show how amazing and wonderful Jews were, which isn't the case. The Bible isn't shy about laying the sins of the Hebrews (and then the Jews later) on full, lurid display and then showing how God smites them afterward after giving them repeated warnings. Conversely, it frequently offers examples of good, God-fearing non-Hebrews and non-Jews. Case in point: Melchizedek.
>>22398237I know they're arguing in bad faith, but whatever. If they want to believe that the Bible is an allusion for taking mushrooms and having gay sex, then I can't really stop them. Still, I try to put out information for others, who are actually interested in the content.
