A bigger problem is the revolutionism that has caused a split in the social fabric, Cromwell was the original pamphlet propagandeer, and notions of constitutional monarchy imposed on England, like happened with Japan post WW2. There were economic sanctions placed on England as well due to being exhausted by war efforts. The Japanese did not buy it though, it was entirely a media psyop for outsiders.
Parliament can work and even revitalize the monarchy if the other forces are tamed. It isn't a given though. I'm just saying.
